A&S Recruitment announces the launch of a new Engineering & Manufacturing division. With 15 years of experience in engineering-focused roles, Anji Smith has joined the Felixstowe-based recruitment agency to head up its timely and exciting new division.
Anji says: “Having relocated from Rochester to Stowmarket just over two years ago, and whilst looking to join a recruitment business that shares my values, I have been immersing myself in the raft of opportunities the region presents.
“Suffolk is on the brink of something really special. With developments such as Gateway 14 and Sizewell C creating huge potential for growth, innovation and skilled employment, I’m thrilled to be joining a team that is keen to expand both geographically and technically.”
A&S’s new division will focus on engineering and manufacturing roles, supporting businesses with the specialist skills they need to scale and succeed.
Anji continues, “At the heart of the division is a relationship-led approach to recruitment, prioritising quality over volume and cultural fit over numbers. By working closely with both clients and candidates, our aim is facilitate placements that deliver real, long-term value.”

Anji’s career move was driven by professional passion, but her reason for relocating to Suffolk was refreshingly simple. She explains: “My two Border Collies had outgrown our old house! Suffolk offered everything we were looking for – open countryside, amazing locations, friendly communities, and a genuine work/life balance. Moving here has been the best decision both personally and professionally.”
