A well-established, owner-managed freight forwarding business based in Felixstowe, specialising in import/export operations and customs clearance. This is a small, close-knit team offering hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop within a growing operation

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Freight Forwarder / Customs Clearance Clerk to support daily operations. This role would suit someone with some industry experience looking to take the next step in their career within freight forwarding and customs.

Processing import and export customs entries (primarily European traffic)
Handling FCL and LCL shipments from start to finish
Liaising with customers, hauliers, shipping lines, and port authorities
Preparing and submitting customs clearance documentation
Tracking shipments and providing regular updates to clients
Ensuring compliance with HMRC and Border Force regulations
Managing and updating internal systems and spreadsheets (Excel-based)
Assisting with general forwarding duties and operational support
Supporting weekend operations on a rota basis
