Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Import Clerk to join their busy and fast-paced operations team. This is a key role within the office, with a strong focus on managing import deliveries and ensuring shipments are handled accurately and efficiently.
This position is particularly suited to someone who thrives in a challenging environment, maintains exceptional attention to detail, and can confidently manage high-pressure situations where accuracy is critical.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage import deliveries, including both LCL and FCL shipments
Ensure all delivery arrangements are planned and executed accurately to avoid delays or additional costs
Liaise with clients, hauliers, and internal teams to monitor shipment progress
Handle documentation and ensure all records are completed correctly and on time
Proactively identify and resolve issues relating to deliveries and scheduling
Maintain strong communication with customers to provide updates and resolve queries
Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations

Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in import operations, particularly with delivery coordination
Strong working knowledge of LCL and FCL shipment handling
Excellent attention to detail – with the ability to minimise errors in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage pressure and prioritise workload effectively
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Confident communication skills with both internal teams and external partners
Experience with import customs entries is beneficial but not essential
Motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic
