Monday to Friday, 16:30 – 01:00
Salary: c£33,000
A&S Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading UK ports operator for a Reach Stacker / Top Lifter Operator to join their busy terminal operations team in Felixstowe
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a fast-paced port environment, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of containers throughout the terminal. Working on the late shift, you will play an important role in supporting daily vessel, rail and yard operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.
Candidates holding a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence who are looking to progress their career within port operations will also be considered, as full training can be provided for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the reach stacker and tug during day shifts, unloading shunters arriving from the port
Oversee yard operations, managing container stacks based on client needs and weather conditions
Transport trailers across the site according to warehouse requirements
Prepare and exchange loaded containers at the bay for devanning
Carry out daily equipment inspections and report any defects
Ensure all container handling activities are completed safely and accurately
Follow company health, safety and environmental procedures at all times
Complete operational paperwork and system updates as necessary
Work closely with colleagues to ensure operational targets are achieved

Requirements
Previous experience operating Reach Stackers and/or Top Lifters is advantageous
Applicants with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence are encouraged to apply as training can be provided
Full UK Driving Licence is essential
Experience working within ports, logistics, warehousing or heavy plant operations would be beneficial
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Reliable, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
