Job Description

Our Felixstowe client is looking to recruit an experienced Transport Operator to join their Felixstowe team
The company has dedicated Night Operators so there are no out of hours calls or weekend work required

Duties & Responsibilities:
Dealing with multiple drivers
Communicating with ports
Booking delivery slots for entry in ports
Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times
Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time
Rerouting jobs as and when is needed
Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
Speaking to customers on possible delays advising et
 
We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following:
Previous experience as a Traffic Operator – Essential
Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal
Excellent UK geographical knowledge
Can work on own initiative
Quick and efficient problem solving skills
Organised at all times
Flexibility to meet the demands of the business

Salary up to c£40,000 + car/car allowance
