Our client is a leading software house, specialising in the freight and logistics industry. Our software empowers companies in all parts of the supply chain, Freight Forwarding, UK Customs and Warehouse Management
They have an exciting opportunity for an experience sales specialist to join their busy team. The successful applicant will have experience in selling business software solutions.
General Responsibilities:
Be active in the sales development with existing customers and target new opportunities
Develop new business opportunities through networking, social media, and marketing activities
Help drive and maintain sales
Identify and grow opportunities
Keep abreast of this fast paced industry
Respond to sales opportunities with new prospects and existing customers
Arrange sales meetings, demonstrations, and seminars
Demonstrate our software solutions
Create quotations, proposals
Maintain CRM system and pipeline of opportunities
Work with our customers to provide great customer service
Regularly travelling to meetings and attending industry events
Clearly communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to senior management and sales team
Key Requirements:
Approachable, friendly ‘people person’ who loves interacting with customers
At least 2 years’ proven experience in a similar B2B office sales environment, ideally selling software solutions
Knowledge or experience within the Freight/Shipping industry is advantageous
A can-do attitude and drive to succeed in a sales environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent listing, negotiating and presentation abilities
Must be able to work on their own and as part of a team
Must have excellent computer skills, especially using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems
A great sense of self-motivation, ambition, and determination
Good self-management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Benefits
Salary Range £25,000 to £40,000 subject to experience
or Basic Salary with Commission will be considered

Based in Ipswich office (you must be within commutable area)
Monday to Friday 8:45am to 5pm
Full driving licence required
Travel and occasional overnight stays
