Driver Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Driver Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, performance, and compliance of a team of drivers. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations while delivering a high level of service.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage, support, and motivate a team of drivers
Monitor performance, attendance, and compliance
Deliver inductions, training, and performance reviews
Ensure adherence to transport legislation and safety standards
Investigate incidents, accidents, and driver infringements
Work closely with transport planners and operations teams
Manage driver holidays, agency usage, and resource planning
Maintain accurate records and produce performance reports

Requirements:
Previous experience managing HGV drivers
Strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance
Valid C+E licence and Driver CPC
Excellent communication and people management skills
Organised, proactive, and able to handle challenging situations

Desirable:
Transport Manager CPC
Experience with tachograph and telematics systems
